Of course, I wrote that entry, went on to sell another 6 books and got another 4 customer reviews. o_O

Letting go seems to be good for me. I think I'll let go of everything!!

And I go back and forth. I'm reasonably driven about this writing thing, but once in a while I need to step back and get some perspective--something I don't do nearly enough of.

My writing matters deeply to me, but in the end it isn't me. That's the part I need most to remember.

I think I was lucky. I was on a terrible, terrible road, and I got totally deconstructed before I could follow it to its end.

Always make sure that the kid has her feet under her before letting go.

And then... yeah, you wind up having to let go of the kid, too, eventually. *wry sigh*

(Can you tell if anyone's "found [my] review helpful," BTW? I can't see that, since I don't get to find my own review helpful. Mean ol' Amazon. O:> )

I really, really wanted that Charlston Heston thing to be a Futurama episode (or a Simpsons episode) with Al Gore actually prying the gun from his cold, dead hands.

Hee! That would, indeed, have been a cool thing.

Wow, lots of linky goodness! Luke and Ben look like they got a little more hard-core, too. ;)

As for the Onion headline.... was there no article? Funny either way!

I like Darth's Victorian black jacket, too. And the power packs for the lightsabers!

No article, alas. Maybe they decided the headline spoke better on its own? :-)
